The Ghaggar-Hakra River is an intermittent river in India and Pakistan that flows only during the monsoon season. The river is known as Ghaggar in India, before the Ottu barrage, and as the Hakra in Pakistan, downstream of the barrage, ending in the Thar Desert.

Oxalic acid’s main applications include cleaning on bleaching, especially for the removal of rust(iron complexing agent). Bar Keepers Friend is an example of a household cleaner containing oxalic acid. Its utility in rust removal agent is due to its forming a stable water-soluble salt with ferric iron, ferrioxalate ion.
